While you may associate Santa Clara with the tech giants looming large over the city, it is also packed with people leading the charge to spotlight the performing arts. Volaré Studios, this creative space in Santa Clara, is the hub for all things dance, music, and culture.

Marianela Amarante, founder, and owner of Volaré Studios has 10 years of experience as an instructor, competitive dancer, and choreographer in the Latin dance community. With deep roots in the dance community and Amarante opened Volaré Studios’ doors in 2018 and the studio has been going strong ever since. (They recently celebrated their 5-year anniversary. Congratulations!)

"I wanted to open a space where my students feel safe, accepted and able to express themselves through movement.” Said Amarante. “Ultimately, I love my culture! How lucky am I to be able to run a business where I get to share my love of Latin dance and music with my community!"

The Discover Santa Clara Team recently stopped by Volaré Studios and got to observe the evening beginner and advanced classes and film a fun Instagram Reel to showcase the amazing experience.

While there were many “beginners” in the room for the first class, we were impressed with how smoothly all the students moved through the dance floor. A common thread we noticed between both classes is that there was a strong sense of community with smiles on everyone’s face.
